Kit consists of the following Pre-cut nipple
tapes, seal tape and protection sheet. Valve stem,
gloves, instruction manual, and OUTEX sticker. The materials
selected for this kit have been proven to be highly durable with regard to
the heat resistance (up to 140 degrees Celsius), weather resistance and
adhesion. Tape left over
after initial installation can be used for repairs such as spoke replacement. Installation of
the tubeless kit requires some basic mechanical skills and knowledge. Other things
needed for the installation process: Solvent/degreaser /oil dispersant to ensure a
thoroughly clean, oil-free surface for adhesion. Scissors, sharp blade,
sandpaper and a 1,200 watt hairdryer. |

Air Leak Prevention Agent for
Outex Tubeless Kit US $10 This
item is used when air is leaking little by little after installing OUTEX
tubeless kit on the rim. How to
use it One
day or more after installing the kit, inject Air Leak Prevention Agent. 1.
Take off the valve core. 2.
Insert the valve stem into the attached tube. Inject Air Leak Prevention
Agent on the tire. 3.
Check air pressure sideways so that the Air Leak Prevention Agent cannot go
in the air pressure gauge. 4.
After checking air pressure, place the wheel on a balancer and spin the rim
or ride the motorcycle a few minutes so the Agent can spread between the rim
and tire all around. Caution:
Use of Air Leak Prevention Agent on plated rims or iron rims that still have
iron surface will cause rust. Paint
or rust inhibitor should be applied to the areas where the iron is visible. Volume

FAQ – OUTEX Tubeless Kit Q1: How difficult is the installation
process? A1: You don’t need any special skills or tools.
Simply read the enclosed instruction manual in advance and follow the steps
carefully. Basic mechanical knowledge is sufficient. Q2: Should I be worried about air leaks or
deflation after installation? A2: Please make sure to read and fully
understand the installation instructions before starting. If the kit is installed correctly, air
leaks will not occur. In the rare case that an air leak is caused by
installation issues or damage, repair tape is included in the kit. Q3: How can I remove the bumps on a welded
rim? A3: Even if there are weld bumps on the rim,
they usually do not cause air leaks. However, for best results, we recommend
smoothing them if possible before installation. Q4: Is there a way to check the
installation before using the wheel? A4: Immediately after installation, the adhesive
tape has not yet reached its full bonding strength, so extra care is required
when mounting the tire. After the tire is installed, inflate it to
approximately 2.5 bar, then submerge the wheel in water to check for air
leaks. Before riding, be sure to adjust the tire
pressure according to the tire manufacturer’s recommendations. Q5: What kind of durability or service life
can I expect from the OUTEX Tubeless Kit? A5: The durability of the main sealing tape
depends on various factors. As a general guideline, in outdoor use it
typically lasts 5–10 years, provided it is not exposed to UV light for
extended periods. Since the tape is applied inside the wheel
rim and is therefore shielded from UV exposure, its expected
durability—assuming no user damage—is excellent and tends toward the upper
end of this range. Q6: How can I repair or replace damaged
spokes? A6: Spokes can be removed by rotating the
nipple. If removal is difficult, carefully cut the protection sheet and
double-sided tape around the affected nipple. After replacing the spoke, apply new
sealing tape and double-sided tape to the repaired area to restore
airtightness. Q7: If the motorcycle is exposed to rain or
a car wash, is there any risk of water entering the tire? A7: There is almost no possibility of water
entering the tire due to the strong adhesive tape and internal air pressure. Q8: After installing the kit, should I use
tubeless tires? A8: We recommend using tubeless tires. However,
some users also use tube-type tires without experiencing air leaks. Please note that the use of tube-type tires
is not guaranteed. Our company and professional riders
(including many former factory racers) conducted extensive testing under
extreme conditions, and no air leaks were observed. In the rare event that a minor air leak
occurs, it can be resolved by using the OUTEX Air Leak Prevention Agent,
which seals small leaks between the rim and tire. Q9: Is it better to remove the bead notches
on the rim? A9: We generally do not recommend removing bead
notches. However, if a bead notch protrudes
excessively and becomes a cause of air leakage, it may be necessary to
carefully grind it down. In such cases, rotate the wheel on a
balancer and evenly grind the protruding area using a belt sander to achieve
a smooth surface. Q10: What should I do if the spoke nipples
are large and protruding? A10: If the spoke nipples are large, we
recommend grinding the heads slightly, as shown in the image below. This
makes installation easier. After grinding, be sure to remove any burrs
or sharp edges. Q11: Is it possible to use an inner tube
after installing the tubeless kit? A11: It is possible, but not recommended. Using an inner tube may reduce the adhesive
strength of the tape due to internal air pressure and may affect the sealing
performance of the bead area.
